That is normal, and it is our job, not yours. Come to the yard, walk between the stones, and point at what you like. We will work out the rest from there, including what the cemetery will allow.

No two of these were asked for twice.
Carved angels and Celtic crosses, etched fire engines and portraits, green granite, red granite and black. Whatever it is, if you can describe it we will work with you until you are satisfied.

These are all one-offs. Not one of them came out of a catalogue, and not one of them was ordered twice. Someone sat down with us, described what they wanted, and we worked at it until it was right.
That is the whole method. Come in, tell us about the person, and we will take it from there.
We come to the stone. It does not have to come to us.
When a second name and a second date need adding to a monument that has stood for twenty years, the stone stays exactly where it is. We do the work on site, inside the cemetery.
That is true whether it is a date, a name, an epitaph, or something you thought of long after the monument was set. If you think of it later, do not worry about it. Call us and we will come out.

Monuments
From a single stone to a family monument. Browse the display yard and see the combinations of style, colour and lettering side by side. There are more than 150 monuments out there and it is only a sampling of what we can make. If you have something else in mind, we will work with you until you are satisfied.
Stone markers
A marker identifies the grave without being ostentatious, and costs less than a large upright monument. We make them to order. If you are not sure whether a marker or a monument is right, that is exactly the sort of thing to ask us in person.
Bronze markers
Granite is the usual choice, but bronze looks entirely different. A bronze marker can stand alone or sit as an accent on a granite base. There are hundreds of styles to choose between.
Cemetery lettering
Lettering cut before a stone is placed, and lettering added to a stone already standing. We do the on-site work in the cemetery itself, so nothing has to be lifted or moved.
Memorial benches
A bench turns a gravesite into somewhere you can actually sit for a while. We make them custom, in the same granites as the monuments, so the two match.
Mausoleums
Design and construction of mausoleums and above-ground monuments. We can show you a catalogue of what we have built. Walk in whenever suits you.
Town and community memorials
Town memorials for veterans, and civic memorials for the places that need them. Some of ours are standing in front of the fire station and the police station in Hopkinton.
Memorial cleaning
Stones weather and darken. If a monument has stood a long time and no longer looks like it did, we will clean it, wherever in the cemetery it stands.
Cemetery accessories
Porcelain photographs set into the stone, vases, and the rest of the pieces that go around a gravesite. Special requests are welcome. Most of what we have made started as one.
Town signs, house stones, and one motorcycle.
A good deal of our work never goes into a cemetery at all. Some of it stands at the end of a driveway, and some of it stands outside a fire station.

Granite will take almost any shape you can draw. We have cut a star clean through a fieldstone, inlaid a team logo in three colours, and lettered a beach stone somebody picked up because it was already the shape of a heart.
None of that started as a catalogue item. Somebody walked in and described it, which is all it takes.
The colours we work in.
Granite colour is the decision people find hardest from a photograph and easiest in person, because the same stone reads differently in sun and in shade. These are the ones we keep coming back to.

Do I need an appointment?
No. Walk in during opening hours and someone will be here. If you would rather know we are expecting you, call 508-429-5465 first.
What should I bring?
The name of the cemetery, and the gravesite if you know it, because that determines the size and type of monument permitted. Beyond that, nothing. Bring a photograph if you have seen something you liked.
Can you add a name to a stone that is already in the cemetery?
Yes, and we do it on site. The monument stays where it is and we do the lettering in the cemetery. This is one of the most common things we are asked for, and it is worth knowing it is possible before you assume it is not.
What does it cost?
It depends on the size the cemetery permits, the granite you choose, and how much carving, etching and lettering it carries. Tell us roughly what you have in mind and we will give you a free estimate, with no obligation.

Can I pay over time?
Yes. We offer interest free payment plans. Ask when you come in and we will go through it with you.
Do you make markers for a pet?
Yes. Flat granite markers, lettered and etched the same way as any other, at whatever size suits.
Can you clean a monument that has gone dark?
Yes, and we come to the cemetery to do it. Stone weathers, and a monument that has stood a long time can usually be brought back a long way.
Can you set a photograph into the stone?
Yes, in porcelain. We also do portrait etching directly into the granite, which is a different look. It is easiest to decide between them by seeing both, and we can show you.
Do you do work outside cemeteries?
Regularly. Town and community memorials, signs for public buildings, house stones, and one-off pieces people ask for. If you can describe it, ask.
